Aksakov House-Museum is a museum dedicated to the life and work of writer Sergei Timofeevich Aksakov. It was in this house in the years 1795-1797 that the Aksakov family lived. He himself called this place the «Ancestral Nest.» The museum has collected a huge number of exhibits. They talk about the young and mature years of the writer.
The museum was founded in 1978. For a long time in the 80s he was under restoration. In 1991, which UNESCO declared the year of Aksakov, the exposition was opened.
